Grandmaster Wai Hong played a significant role in bringing traditional Chinese martial arts to a wider audience in the US.
In 1968, he established the Fu Jow Pai Federation, opening the art to the public.
Grandmaster Wai Hong began to promote full contact martial arts competition in 1971. In 1974, Grandmaster Wai Hong successfully unified the various Kung Fu styles in the eastern United States and established the Eastern United States Kung Fu Federation.
